MC – Tranka Fulha
Tranka Fulha, is a Cape Verdean musician and dancer who has made a name for himself in the national and international music scenes. Starting off as a construction worker, Tranka Fulha worked hard to support his family and save up for studio recordings to pursue his passion for music.
In 2012, Tranka Fulha began his career as a dancer, but it wasn’t until 2018 that he gained national recognition for his music. Despite the challenges he faced, Tranka Fulha’s perseverance and determination led him to perform in 12 countries and win the Song of the Year award at the 2021 Cabo Verde Music Awards for “Moda um Pasaro,” a collaboration with Ferro & Gaita.
Tranka Fulha’s desire to stand out and be unique has driven his creative process since he was a young boy growing up in the streets of Praia. Although his music career was initially hampered by financial constraints, he never gave up on his dream, and he has become an inspiration to many young artists in Cape Verde.
For Tranka Fulha, music is a passion and a way to provide for his family, especially his mother. He has had numerous shows since the release of his first single, which marked his entry into the music industry. With his hard work and dedication, Tranka Fulha has become a respected figure in the Cape Verdean music scene and continues to inspire aspiring musicians to follow their dreams.
